A CRD number is a unique identifier used in the securities industry’s registration systems to distinguish a firm or financial professional. Pelican Advisory LLC’s firm CRD number is 330658; use that number to locate its investment adviser record on the SEC’s public database.
The number is a starting point for checking identity. You still need to read the record, confirm the firm or person you intended to find and distinguish current information from employment or registration history.
What Does CRD Stand For?
CRD stands for Central Registration Depository. FINRA, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, administers the program that supports securities-industry licensing and registration filings.
CRD records include qualification, employment and disclosure information for broker-dealers, branches and associated professionals. Publicly disclosable information is available through BrokerCheck. Investment adviser information also uses the Investment Adviser Registration Depository, or IARD, and is available through the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site, or IAPD.
You don’t need access to a firm’s filing system to research an adviser. The public search tools provide the relevant entry points.
How Is a Firm’s Number Different From an Individual’s?
A firm CRD identifies the organization. An individual CRD identifies a person. Searching one does not substitute for checking the other.
Pelican’s August 25, 2026 registration filing lists the firm’s CRD number as 330658 and its SEC file number as 801-137207. The firm-number field is for the organization, not an officer, employee or affiliate.

A person’s history may include several employers. Read the dates and current-affiliation fields rather than assuming every firm appearing on a report is a current employer.
How Do You Look Up a CRD Number?
Use the public tool that matches the record you need. IAPD is the direct route to investment adviser records and business disclosures. BrokerCheck provides broker and brokerage-firm information and routes users to adviser information.
- Open IAPD or BrokerCheck directly.
- Choose the firm or individual search, as appropriate.
- Enter the CRD number. If you only know a name, search it and compare the identifying details.
- Check the legal name, current affiliation and relevant location before opening the full report.
- Read current status and dated history separately. Record the date you checked them.
For a firm, use the linked business disclosure filing, client brochure and relationship summary to review its business and compensation disclosures. For a person, use the individual record rather than drawing conclusions from the firm’s filing alone.
What Are Pelican’s Public CRD Identifiers?
These identifiers were checked against the SEC’s public records on September 16, 2026. They identify the linked records; this table does not evaluate any person’s background.

What Can a CRD Number Tell You, and What Can’t It?
The number helps you find the correct record. It is not a rating, a professional designation or proof of suitability for your situation.
The record behind it contains information with different purposes: registrations, employment history, qualifications and required disclosures. FINRA cautions that some disclosure items concern pending actions or allegations that have not been resolved or proven. A reader should examine the full entry and its status rather than infer an outcome from its presence.
Equally, locating a number is not the end of your review. Compare the services you’re considering with the firm’s disclosures and ask which legal entity will appear on your agreement.
How Do You Get a CRD Number If You’re Entering the Industry?
If an employer or examination-enrollment process asks for your CRD number, first check whether you already have a record. Your firm’s registration staff or FINRA’s support resources can help identify the appropriate filing or enrollment process. Do not enter another person’s number or assume that possessing a number authorizes you to provide investment advice. Registration and qualification requirements are separate from the identifier itself.
What Should You Check After a CRD Search?
- Firm or individual record.
- Matching name and identifier.
- Current affiliation and registration status.
- Dates on history and disclosures.
- Full reports and relevant firm filings.
